Yes, it's another food based text! Before you begin, download this Zip file. Extract Waffle.pbv to your preset folder and open Waffle.bmp up in Paint Shop Pro. |
1. Create a new image, 400x200 pixels,
with a transparent background. Select a light biscuit colour as your foreground colour - for this tutorial, I used #EBD1A5. |
2. Choose the Font tool. Select a chunky font - for this tutorial I used Bagel. Set the font colour to your foreground colour & make the size between 48 & 72 (it will depend on what you're writing & what font you are using) & set kerning to about 50. Make sure Antialias and Floating are selected. Type some text. Don't drop the selection! |
3. Select the Flood Fill tool. From Fill Style, choose Pattern, Blend Mode Normal, Paper Texture None, Match Mode None, Opacity 100%. On the second tab of the Tool Options palette, choose Waffel.bmp from the drop down menu under New Pattern Source. Flood Fill the selection. Press CTRL+D to drop the selection. |
4. Select the Magic Wand tool. Make Match Mode RGB Value, Tolerance 5, Feather 0 & Sample Merged un-ticked. Select one of the blocks of colour on the text. Go to Selections/Modify/Select Similar. This should select all the squares of the same colour. |
5. Go to Image/Effects/Inner Bevel and apply the Metallic Preset. Press CTRL+D to drop the selection. |
6. Repeat steps 4 & 5 on the remaining squares. |
7. Go to Image/Effects/Inner Bevel and choose the Waffle preset. |
| Your Waffle Text is complete! |
